New Sanitizer ‘BUY ONE, DONATE ONE’ Campaign Begins with Donations to First Responders in Colorado, Illinois, New York City & Texas

BOULDER, Colorado (April 23, 2020) – When Warfighter Hemp launched a first-of-its-kind CDC grade antiseptic sanitizer gel and spray with CBD last week, the company made a promise to make a one-for-one donation to first responders facing COVID-19 for every product sold. Now the company, a manufacturer of CBD products derived from industrial hemp based in Boulder, Colorado, is making good on this promise with donations to the police departments in Boulder, Chicago and Dallas Fort Worth, the fire department in Irving, Texas, and fire and police departments in New York City.

Warfighter Hemp will continue to donate one bottle of Warfighter Hemp Antiseptic Sanitizer gel or spray for each bottle sold, to first responders and other front line personnel, including transportation, food or beverage, and medical, assisted living and daycare providers. Donations will be sent by the case to qualified organizations that have pre-registered at https://bit.ly/warfighterdonations.

“With this being a new program, we realize these donations are just a drop in the bucket, but we want to do more,” said Lt. Col. (ret) Steve Danyluk (USMC), founder of Warfighter Hemp. “We hope that consumers will share in this effort by purchasing Warfighter Hemp sanitizers as well as forwarding our link to organizations that are in short supply.”

Warfighter Hemp made the pivot to producing hand sanitizer in late March when it became scarce on shelves and because the company had a surplus of ethyl alcohol, a byproduct in the hemp extraction process. While washing your hands is the most effective way for people to slow and prevent the spreading of viruses, the use of ethyl-based hand sanitizer is an effective way to augment your hygiene at times, such as in the grocery store or when you do not have access to soap and water. Look for products with 60% ethyl alcohol and higher, which are more effective at battling bacteria, and although ethyl is a far more expensive type of alcohol than isopropyl, it is far less harsher on ones skin allowing for repeated use.

CBD provides additional skin-calming and skin-normalizing effects that may help minimize issues related to skin sensitivity related to the constant washing of hands, including redness and reactivity. Warfighter 4oz CBD Antiseptic Sanitizer Spray features 400mg CBD distillate, 80% ethyl alcohol, glycerin, water, lavender oil and hydrogen peroxide. It retails for $15.99. With 800 mg CBD distillate, Warfighter 8oz CBD Antiseptic Sanitizer Gel pump retails for $19.99. Ingredients include 80% ethyl alcohol, glycerin, aloe gel, water, lavender oil and hydrogen peroxide.  The company is also offering bundles of products at a cost savings.

Warfighter Hemp is made in the United States, grown on the largest organic hemp farm in the country in Colorado, and all production takes place on U.S. soil. The company conducts third-party testing to ensure the quality and efficacy of its products.
